🦷 Does your child really need airway treatment? Let’s talk about it. 👀
If you've been seeing posts about airway dentistry, early expansion, and why your child may need orthodontic treatment before kindergarten, you're not alone!
But here's something every parent should know: Not every child needs treatment, and earlier doesn't always mean better.
✨ Snoring or mouth breathing? Don't ignore it—but don't assume it automatically means your child needs an orthodontic appliance, either.
🩺 Start with the right evaluation. Breathing and sleep concerns may need assessment by a pediatrician, ENT, or sleep specialist.
🦷 Expansion isn't for everyone. Orthodontic treatment should be based on your child's individual needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
🤝 Teamwork matters. When medical and dental professionals work together, children can receive the appropriate care for their needs.
And remember: the recommended age for a child's first orthodontic checkup is 7 years old—but that does NOT mean every child needs braces at 7!
At All Smiles Orthodontics, we believe in thoughtful recommendations, individualized care, and helping parents make informed decisions. 💙
