Whether you know her as your dentist, colleague, neighbor, boss, customer, family member, friend, (or just as the lady who is willing to do a TikTok dance in scrubs on social media), you love her and know that no one is more courageous, enthusiastic, kind or caring than the indefatigable Dr. S.

She possesses sincere compassion and empathy for her patients, enthusiasm and ingenuity for her business, guidance (and patience) for her employees, and abiding love and care for her family and friends. She genuinely cares about her community and is an outspoken voice for those in need and for causes that make the world a better place.

Her work may start with the teeth, but it comes from and touches the heart, because while many dentists can improve a smile, no others can *inspire* them quite like Dr. S.

Every year on June 15th, we observe National Smile Power Day to celebrate the magical power of a smile. From a quick friendly hello to a passing stranger, to a loving gesture to an old friend, offering a true smile to another can change their day, lift their spirits, and make the world a kinder place. Research has also proven that smiling makes you more attractive and likable to other humans. 😬 (No pressure there!)

We at The QPD love nothing more than to help create healthy and beautiful smiles... now go share them with the world! 😁💙😁💙

With so many patients, friends and loved ones who are members of the LGBTQ+ community, The QPD is excited and humbled to join in this month’s celebrations of the ongoing fight for equality and recognition here and around the world. While we look forward to joining in on all the festivities, we remember and honor those who came before who not only gave us something to celebrate, but in doing so made such celebrations possible. Although all the colors didn’t fit on this toothbrush, we as community members, allies and friends can’t wait to celebrate the full spectrum of this beautiful rainbow in the coming weeks!
