The team at Lone Tree Pediatric Dentistry wants to wish you and your family a happy holiday season! Being home for winter break, and on vacation mode, kids tend to forget their daily routines. Encourage your child to brush twice a day and floss once a day so they can continue to enjoy the holiday treats with healthy teeth.

Yep, you read this correctly, turkey is tooth-friendly and an excellent choice for a festive holiday meal. Turkey is not only yummy, but it contains phosphorus, which helps build strong bones and support healthy teeth. Phosphorus works with calcium to form and maintain tooth enamel, the hard outer surface of teeth, that protects against cavities and decay. Perhaps switching out cookies for turkey, in addition to a glass of milk, will continue to make Santa’s teeth white as snow!
