WEEK✌🏻of National Children’s Dental Health Month
Setting your child up for long term, tip-top tooth success starts sooner than you think!! Both the & Dr. Blair recommend that your little should be seen for their first dental visit when…
☝🏻: They get their first tooth 🦷
OR
✌🏻: By their first birthday 🥳
First baby teeth can begin to erupt between 6-10 months of age. This means, if your 6mo old’s first tooth pops through, schedule that first pediatric dental exam! Conversely, all children grow and develop at different rates. This can mean that some babies won’t get their first tooth until AFTER their first birthday 🎂 This is nothing to stress over, mama! Even without teeth, it is so important to bring your 1 year old to their first visit…but WHY?
• Establishes a positive relationship and grows baby accustom to regular dental visits
• Education for parents
• Monitoring baby’s development
• Early detection of dental issues
• Prevention of issues with as-needed intervention
What’s next? Find your dental home (Bloom 😉), plan for a morning appointment (kids do best when they’re fresh!) & practice brushing at home to familiarize your little with their dental experience 🪥🦷✨
