Livonia Family Dental Center Dr. Anthony J Yaldo and Livonia Family Dental Center Dr. Grunberger received her Bachelor's degree in biology/chemistry from Hunter College in New York City.

She graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1982 and began her career as a dentist in the United States Navy. In 1986 she relocated to Michigan and has been serving her patients in Livonia ever since. She has completed studies at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. The Institute offers continuing education courses for dentists, specialists and technicians fr

om around the world who aspire to provide individualized, comprehensive dentistry and learn successful behavioral, clinical and financial practices. Dr. Grunberger is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Michigan Dental Association (MDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Chicago Dental Society, Detroit District Dental Society, Detroit Dental Clinic Club - Perio Section

Are you eating fruits and veggies that are going to better your smile this summer? Did you know blueberries and raspberries are rich in anthocyanins which may help to protect against tooth decay? Along with berries, red bell peppers and green beans are high in Vitamin C, which is necessary for collagen production, which keeps gums tight around your teeth. Watermelon, a summer favorite, is rich in fiber, and like grapes, cherries, and plums, has a high water content that triggers saliva production, cleansing your mouth of plaque-causing bacteria while you enjoy! 🍉

April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. This month, take the time to educate yourself on the warning signs and risk factors of oral cancer. Early detection saves lives! When you are in our office, we'll do a screening for any possible oral cancers. While this is just a precaution, we want to make sure your teeth are clean and your mouth is free of infections, sores, spots you might be worried about, or spots you might not even know are there.

If you're a to***co user or consume high amounts of alcohol, you are at a higher risk of oral cancers. HPV could also be a cause of oral cancer. And even if you're not at a higher risk because of the things above, we are happily checking our patients for any things that could be or lead to cancer.
