Just an FYI so you can plan your drive to come see us!

As part of the City’s ongoing water main replacement project, we will close the westbound I‑96 off‑ramp to Merriman Road beginning Today.

Crews will be replacing a water gate well located at the top of the ramp, and there is not enough space to safely maintain traffic while completing this work. The ramp will remain closed Oct. 7-24 to allow for the replacement of water valves and the reconstruction of the concrete roadway, which requires at least one week of curing time.

During this closure, motorists are advised to use the Inkster Road or Farmington Road exits as alternate routes.
