Tien Jiang, assistant professor in the Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology, received the 2025 Gies Award for Junior Faculty Achievement in Oral Health Education from the American Student Dental Association (ADEA) for her work and significant contributions to the profession. She was presented with the award at the 2025 ADEA Annual Session.

"So much of this award is because of the students. Teaching is not only a rewarding experience, but also fuels my passion to use my expertise to make dental school and residency effective, efficient, and enjoyable for others," said Jiang (pictured right). "Being recognized is such an honor as it elevates me as an educator on a national stage and also validates why I chose to be in dental education."
