We took a moment to sit down with Dr. Cloud and ask him what dentistry has taught him throughout the years. 🦷

Q: Can you tell if I don’t floss?

A: Yes. 😅 Your gums usually give us some clues.

Bleeding or swollen gums, plaque buildup between the teeth, and signs of gum inflammation can all tell your dental team that flossing may not be happening as often as it should.

Flossing helps remove plaque and food from places your toothbrush simply can’t reach. When plaque sits between your teeth, it can irritate your gums and eventually contribute to cavities and gum disease.

So yes, we can sometimes tell… but we promise we’re not judging! ❤️

Be honest… are you a daily flosser, an occasional flosser, or a “I floss really well the night before my appointment” flosser? 👀👇
