Dear Valued Patient,
It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing, as of August 19, 2024, that I am leaving my practice. Although I am too young to retire, I am taking this time of my life to be more present with my family.
Looking back, I took a chance at being a new graduate in a small town where female dentists were rare. I came into a very busy, successful practice where all of you welcomed me with open arms. I purchased half of First Avenue Dental after my first year and then purchased the rest in 2019 as a solo owner. I have laughed and cried with many of you, met your family and you have met mine. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you and I have been privileged to treat your smile. The last three years have been extremely challenging as a business owner. My desire is to spend less time running a business and more time with my family. My current staff, including Dr. Brian Quamme, will continue to provide the same care you have been accustomed to receiving.
Dr. Dominic Gagnon has purchased my practice and is transitioning it to Lakeland Dental. He graduated from U of M School of Dentistry and is also a 20 year military veteran. He has experience in all phases of dentistry, including extractions, bone grafting and the advanced surgical placement of dental implants. He grew up in Browerville, where he resides with his wife Kristin and their seven children. He likes hunting, fishing, and biking with his family.
Dr. Gagnon's team includes Jacob Dvorak, an Advanced Dental Therapist that graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dental Therapy. He will also be in the office providing essential care such as fillings, sealants, check-ups, children's dentistry and emergency treatment. You will have the convenience of receiving care at any of his locations including Long Prairie, Staples, Clarissa and Little Falls.
I thank you for your trust, support and loyalty. It has been my honor to spend time with you.
Regards,
Dr. Suzette Olson, DDS
