Meet Dr. Travis Williams. 👋

His path to oral and maxillofacial surgery started early, watching a specialist treat his younger brother after a track and field injury and seeing the difference the right care can make. That moment stuck with him.

He trained at the University of Pennsylvania for dental school and completed his residency at LSU, gaining broad experience across wisdom teeth, implants, TMJ, and reconstructive surgery along the way.

But the bigger goal was always personal: build a neighborhood practice, not just another office. Growing up in the area, Dr. Williams wanted FishHawk Oral & Facial Surgery to feel like exactly that, a place where patients are known, not just scheduled. 🌴

Oral surgeons have a reputation for being a little gruff.

Dr. Williams doesn't love that reputation, and he actively works against it.

Instruments stay out of sight until they're actually needed, not lined up where a nervous patient has to look at them.

He also steers patients away from watching procedure videos online beforehand. It tends to add fear, not ease it.

The goal every time: patients leave feeling like it wasn't the traumatic experience they were bracing for.
