A fun field trip to RIVERBEND CREAMERY AND DAIRY requested by 💠Debi S. Ballard💠 for her birthday lunch celebration. I mean…WHO doesn’t want homemade ICE CREAM for LUNCH?!? - but maybe next time we need to take the afternoon off to recover from the “SUGAR OVERLOAD”🍦🍨🥤 it sure was Yummy!

Our girl Whitney asked that we celebrate with her in a positive way the day before her double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery last Tuesday- (so yes.. at her request we had a “Boobie Bereavement” day at DTD!) she has faced this scary diagnosis of breast cancer head on from the beginning and we have been SO proud of her! There is no doubt that her positive outlook along with a multitude of prayers is the reason that her surgery went so well and she got the best results possible from her pathology and PTL she is now Cancer Free! Whitney of course will have some recovery time at home and we will miss her while she is out but knowing that she has WON the FIGHT against breast cancer and is doing so well is all we wanted! God is good. PRAYERS for any and all going through this battle with cancer.

CONGRATULATIONS SARAH!!! 1️⃣0️⃣ YEARS that Demond Family Dentistry then Dedmond & Tallent Dentistry has been fortunate enough to have this hard working sweet girl employed as a dental assistant in our practice. You will find her all over the office at times doing anything and everything that needs to be done - but her top priority during her work day is taking the best care of her dental patients while assisting Dr. Brian.
Sarah is engaged to be married to fiancé’ Daniel next year and we are so excited for her. She is a devoted daughter and the best aunt ever to Payton and Mason. We plan on keeping this special lady around for many years to come!- THANK YOU SARAH for your loyalty and hard work ethics! Love you! 🩷🦷🦄🤩

It’s a day to Celebrate WHITNEY! - we have been lucky enough to have her on our dental team for 1️⃣5️⃣years!!!!! She started here with both Dr. Dedmond’s- (Demond Family Dentistry)and 15 years later still keeping teeth clean for Dedmond & Tallent Dentistry. Whitney is known for not just the cutest hair but also her impeccable way she matches every where she goes from head to toe!… even at work in scrubs you better know she will have it all together. She is a wife to Kyle, an amazing mother to Tucker and a dog mom to 4!.. cat mom to one sweet kitty Elvis (who was left at our office door in a box one weekend and of course Whitney took her home!) Yes- Whitney had a big heart for rescue animals long before she was Tuckers Mom- and takes all those roles very seriously. We are all so happy and blessed to have “Whit” as a part of our work family.

10 YEARS of honoring and remembering KANDACE LONG HELMS 10 YEARS of Kandace Helms Foundation putting on an awesome 5K/Fun run to raise money for college scholarships given to Lincoln County seniors and donating monies towards other educational programs in Lincoln County. 10 YEARS of DEDMOND & TALLENT DENTISTRY attending, participating and supporting this worthwhile and fun event. One our DTD team members, Sarah Long is Kandace’s sister - we support Sarah, honor Kandace’s memory and raise money to give back to our community while having a great time. 💜🦄🏃🏃‍♀️🍎🍌🦷🪥😎

Today we want to recognize someone who truly is the heart behind so much of what we do. For 47 YEARS, Debi has been a dedicated part of our dental family. She was one of Dr. Keith Dedmond’s first dental assistants coming to work for him when she was almost 19 years old and just graduated from Central Piedmont Dental Program. Her commitment, loyalty, and hard work are unmatched. Our office simply would not be the same without her. She’s the coordinator of all things—our CE’s, our supplies, always planning the next office outing or event, celebrating birthdays, always making sure everyone feels included. She takes care of all of the New patients that come in to our practice. She has a special way of thinking of others first, constantly going above and beyond to make both our team and our patients feel cared for. Her servant’s heart doesn’t stop at our office. She pours so much into our community, always looking for ways to give back, support others, and make a positive difference. Whether it’s helping organize community events or quietly lending a hand where it’s needed most, her generosity inspires everyone around her. When she’s not keeping all of us straight, you’ll most likely find her soaking up the sun at Oak Island—her “happy place” with her husband of 40 years, Doug. They have one son, Kenan and a grand dog, Tuffy that she is smitten with. We are so lucky to have a “Debi” here! We thank you for 47 incredible years of dedication, kindness, laughter, and selfless service. Your impact reaches far beyond these walls, and we are so grateful for everything you do. Here’s to celebrating you and the legacy you’ve built.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 5️⃣YEARS that John Dock stepped into our doors as DR. TALLENT! He grew up in western Lincoln County - is the son of Phyllis and the late Randy Tallent; graduated from WLHS then went on to get his bachelor’s then also his Doctor of Dentistry degree from UNC/CH dental school. He had arranged to come observe and shadowed Dr. Keith and Brian Dedmond during his time there and knew then that THIS is where he wanted to start practicing dentistry when he graduated. The Dedmonds knew they would be wanting an associate soon to be ready when senior Dr. Dedmond retired … Dr. Tallent fit the bill!- the timing of his graduation was perfect! During these past five years, Dr. Tallent also gained a beautiful wife - Erica!, as well as his baby girl that recently turned 1! Needless to say… he has been very busy during this time! Two and a half years ago, Dedmond Family Dentistry became DEDMOND & TALLENT DENTISTRY- So yes! —we decided to keep him! We are very thankful he chose “us” and very proud of all he has accomplished. The future looks bright with “Dr. T” being a part of our family! Congratulations Dr. Tallent 👏🏼
