Our hygienists recently traveled to Seattle, Washington, for an incredible weekend of learning, exploring, and growing together! ✈️🦷
🌿 Friday: Exploring Seattle & Bainbridge Island
We kicked off the weekend at Pike Place Market, taking in the beautiful fresh flowers, unique local vendors, and sampling fresh fruits! We enjoyed a walk along the waterfront before hopping on the ferry to Bainbridge Island, where we stopped at the well-known Proper Fish for fish and chips. We wrapped up our day with a couple of hours of w**e tasting at Eleven, enjoying great conversation and talking all things Canyon Echo Dental! 🍷🌊
📚 Saturday & Sunday: Continuing Education at the Kois Center
From 7 AM to 6 PM both days, our hygienists attended the Kois Center continuing education course, “Precision Periodontal Medicine and the Hygienist: A Critical Role for Maximum Health.”
This course emphasized the important connection between oral health and systemic well-being, reinforcing that periodontal health plays a vital role in overall health. Key topics included:
🦷 Understanding the impact of periodontal disease on overall health and the importance of early intervention.
🔎 Improving early disease detection and understanding the five diagnostic keys.
📋 Developing effective, evidence-based periodontal treatment plans and protocols.
💡 Exploring clinical adjuncts to control inflammation and support periodontal stability.
🤝 Strengthening patient communication, education, and motivation to improve treatment acceptance and long-term outcomes.
❤️ Establishing consistent periodontal maintenance protocols that support lasting oral health and empower patients to take an active role in their care.
