✨Phase I treatment➡️Phase II: Building a healthy smile from the start! ✨

Did you know that completing phase 1 orthodontic treatment can help set the stage for a smoother and more predictable phase 2? 🦷🪴

Phase I treatment is typically started while a child is still growing and has a mix of baby and permanent teeth. By addressing certain concerns early, we can help:

🌱Guide jaw growth and development
🦷 Create space for incoming permanent teeth
✨ Improve bite relationships early
😁Reduce the severity of some orthodontic concerns
⏱️Make phase II treatment more efficient and predictable

Once the permanent teeth have come in, Phase II treatment allows us to build on that foundation - focusing on the final alignment, bite, and those finishing touches that create a healthy, confident smile. 💚

Think of Phase I as laying the groundwork and phase II as bringing the whole smile together as pictured in this beautiful example above from one of our sweet patients who just finished her second phase in treatment!

Every child’s orthodontic needs are different, which is why early evaluations can be so valuable.
