π¦· Root Canal Awareness Week is here. So are some facts about root canal symptoms that you may not be aware of. π
π« We often think the sign of needing a root canal is tooth pain. That is frequently true, but not always.
π΅βπ« Having pain when chewing or biting, but not at other times, is a symptom (it may be revealing a cracked tooth)
π Gums that are tender, swollen, or dark in color may point to an infection inside the gums
- Small pimples on your gums may also indicate bacterial infection or inflammation within the gums.
β Lastly, lingering sensitivity to hot and cold foods and drinks, even after you stop eating or drinking.
π² Be aware, infection is not fun, and it should always be treated. Call us immediately if you think you need a root canal. Additionally, if you have severe tooth pain, it could be a dental emergency.
