To our dental family,

You may have heard in our Governor's address last night (April 23) that dental offices will be allowed to open on Monday, with certain "protocols" in place. Unfortunately, those protocols are still to be determined. The Kentucky Board of Dentistry has informed us that they are working on guidance for appropriate ways for dentists, staff, and patients to be safe. Until these safeguards are decided, and in place, we cannot responsibly reopen.

Additionally, the shortage in PPE that has affected so many healthcare workers on the front lines also makes them the highest priority for receiving the limited supply of N95 masks, faceshields, and gowns currently available. We cannot practice safely until we have these supplies, and it is not clear when we will be able to obtain them.

Please rest assured that we are working diligently behind the scenes to get everything in place to safely treat our patients and we will open as soon as it is safe to do so. If you believe you have a dental emergency, please email me at [email protected] and I will help you in any way possible.
