🦷 Baby Teeth Matter! 👶✨
Did you know your little one’s first teeth are already developing before birth? Most babies get their first tooth around 6 months, although anywhere from about 4–12 months can be completely normal!
Here’s a general timeline:
🍼 6–10 months: Lower front teeth (central incisors)
🦷 8–12 months: Upper front teeth
✨ 9–16 months: Lateral incisors
🦷 13–19 months: First molars
🐻 16–23 months: Canines
🦷 23–33 months: Second molars
By around age 3, most children have all 20 primary teeth.
And yes—those tiny teeth need BIG care! 💙
✨ How to care for baby teeth:
• Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush
• Use a smear (rice-sized) of fluoride toothpaste as soon as the first tooth appears
• Avoid putting your baby to bed with a bottle or sippy cup containing milk or juice
• Begin flossing when two teeth touch
• Schedule their first dental visit by age 1 or within 6 months of the first tooth appearing
Baby teeth help children chew, speak, smile, and hold space for their permanent teeth, so taking care of them early sets the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles. 🥰🦷

2D vs. 3D X-rays: What’s the difference? 🦷🔍
Not all dental X-rays are created for the same purpose!
2D X-rays give us a flat view and are often perfect for routine dental care—helping us detect cavities, evaluate bone levels, check tooth roots, and monitor overall oral health.
3D X-rays (CBCT) give us a much more detailed view, allowing us to see teeth, bone, nerves, sinuses, and surrounding structures from multiple angles. They can be especially helpful when planning implants, complex root canals, impacted wisdom teeth, TMJ treatment, or more complex restorative and cosmetic cases.
✨ Does that mean 3D is better? Not necessarily!
The right X-ray depends on what we need to see. We only recommend 3D imaging when the additional information is beneficial to your care.
Because when it comes to your smile, more technology isn't always the answer—having the right technology is. 🤍
