All Smiles Dental is seeking a highly motivated and positive Dental Assistant with great organizational and communication skills to join our clinical team.
Key Tasks:
-Assist dentists in all dental procedures
-Prepare patients for treatment
-Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed
-Prepare materials for making impressions and restorations
-Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
-Obtain dental history from patient and ensure that the health history is updated for all returning patients
-Instruct patients on post-operative and general oral health care
-Record patient charting and all doctor notes as directed by the doctor.
-Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policy.
Necessary Characteristics:
-Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner
-Willing to effectively participate as a team member with all office personnel
-Committed to the protection of confidential information.
-Good organizational skills
-Effective time management
-Honest and dependable work ethic
Other Requirements:
-Chairside dental assisting experience preferred but not required
-Great communication skills
-An eagerness to learn on the job
-Experience using computers and software
-Must be a people person with a great attitude and attention to detail
