April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month 🦷

Oral cancer can affect anyone, but early detection can save lives.

Here are a few important facts:
• Nearly 54,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with oral or oropharyngeal cancer each year
• When caught early, the 5-year survival rate is significantly higher
• Risk factors include to***co use, alcohol consumption, HPV, and prolonged sun exposure (for lip cancer)

The good news? Screenings are quick, painless, and can be done during your routine dental exam. At our office, we include oral cancer screenings as part of your check-up because your health is our top priority.
