Gum Care Month: wrapping up strong! 🦷
We’ve spent September sharing tips for healthier gums, from flossing technique to staying hydrated, but here’s the one that ties it all together: even the best home routine can’t replace a professional cleaning.🪥
Plaque hardens into tartar over time, and once that happens, only we can remove it. Regular hygiene appointments allow us to catch gum disease and other issues early, before they turn into bigger problems.
Most people need a cleaning every 6 months. If it’s been longer, let September be the month you get back on track!
Thanks for following along with us this month. Here’s to healthier smiles all year round. 💛

Okay, we have to share this one!! 😆🦷

This x-ray shows a wisdom tooth we recently removed and it might be the smallest one we’ve ever seen! For reference, most wisdom teeth are roughly the size of your other molars, but tooth size can vary from person to person. Extractions aren’t something we do every day at Craft and Care, so when one comes through, we always learn something new.
This little guy definitely earned a spot on our “wall of fame.” 😂 Thankful for our patient for allowing us to share!

Gum Care Month tip #2: Hydration = healthy gums!💧

Water does more for your smile than you might think. Staying hydrated keeps saliva flowing, and saliva is your mouth’s natural defense system — it washes away food particles and helps neutralize the bacteria that can lead to gum irritation and disease.
When you’re dehydrated, saliva production drops, which gives bacteria more of a chance to stick around and cause problems.

💡 Simple tip: keep a water bottle nearby and sip throughout the day, especially if you’re a coffee or tea drinker!

We’re so grateful that we get to care for such amazing patients like Kayla! Thank you, for taking the time to share your experience. We’re so glad we could be there for you when you needed us! 🤍

Volume up!! ⬆️ 🚨

Gum Care Month tip #1: Flossing isn’t just about getting food out — it’s one of the best ways to keep gum disease away. 😀
Quick technique reminder: gentle C-shape around each tooth, not just a straight snap up and down. Your gums will thank you!
Below we have dropped 2 videos, the first is about the proper flossing technique for right and left handed people. The second video is about proper flossing technique under a dental bridge! 🦷🪥
