Just two girls with a DREAM 🥹🐝

Then, somewhere along the way, we found two more amazing women who shared the same values, loved kids the way we do, and understood exactly what we wanted the Honey Bee experience to feel like.

Now there are four of us, three practices, an incredible team, and a whole lot of families who have trusted us with their kids 🩷 

You’d think after opening three locations we’d have it all figured out by now, but the truth is, we’re still learning as we go.

We’re still bouncing ideas off each other, figuring out what works, changing what doesn’t, laughing through the chaos, and dreaming about what’s next for Honey Bee.

The dream has gotten a whole lot bigger since the beginning, but the reason behind it hasn’t changed.

We want kids to grow up knowing the dentist can be a safe, happy place filled with people who really care about them, and to get to build that alongside people who believe in it just as much as we do? It’s pretty dang special!!! 🥹

What if we told you sedation can actually help protect your child’s relationship with the dentist? 👀

It may sound a little backward, but sometimes sedation can lead to a BETTER dental experience for your child.

When we have super anxious kiddos, those with sensory or special healthcare needs, or those who need more extensive dental work, expecting them to simply “push through” treatment is not the way we do things.

We offer different levels of sedation for kids’ dental procedures depending on what your child needs.

We’ll look at your child’s age, health, needs, and the dental work that needs to be done, then talk through the options with you.

A few things we’ll always stand behind when it comes to kids & the dentist 🐝

The experiences they have now shape how they feel about dental care for a LONG time... and if we can help raise a generation of kids who grow up actually feeling good about going to the dentist? We’d say that’s a pretty big win! 🫶

It’s not about the fun colors on the wall, or the balloons, or the prizes... 🎈 🍭 

It’s about the experience your child has from the moment they walk through our doors to the moment they climb back in the car seat and think to themselves, “I did it!”

We see every appointment as an opportunity to shape how your child feels about going to the dentist—not just today, but for the rest of their life.

We want them to walk out feeling proud of themselves and a little more confident than when they walked in. Then, we get to build on that experience every time they come back! 🐝

Your child has a cavity… now what? 🦷

Finding a cavity doesn’t mean we automatically jump to a filling!

There are many treatment options available for children with cavities. The best choice depends on the tooth, where the cavity is, how far the decay has progressed, your child’s age, their cavity risk, and several other factors we’ll look at together.

Some patients may need monitoring or remineralizing, and others may need a filling to protect the tooth.

No matter what we find, we will show you exactly what we’re seeing, explain what we recommend AND why, and have a conversation about the options available.

Then, as the parent, you get to make an informed decision about what feels right for your child and your family! 🐝

One of the best things we can do for nervous kids at the dentist is to stop trying to talk them out of being nervous.

When we acknowledge those feelings instead of brushing them aside, we can start building the trust and confidence that makes future visits feel a whole lot easier! 🐝

Sometimes that means finding a way to keep going; sometimes it means meeting them in the middle; and sometimes it means deciding we’ve done enough for today.

Getting the treatment done is important, but so is how your child experiences it. We never want to push through at the expense of the trust we’re working so hard to build!
