Great advice from Dr. Richter:
"I was recently looking for some information about laser use in dentistry and was completely amazed at the information I found. The site, which I had generally considered to be fairly reliable and which I won't incriminate, stated the following as cons of using a laser. About 90% of the information is either wrong or only partially true.

The article falsely claimed the following:

The disadvantages of lasers are that:

-Lasers can't be used on teeth with fillings already in place.

-Lasers can't be used in many commonly performed dental procedures. For example, lasers can't be used to fill cavities located between teeth, around old fillings, and large cavities that need to be prepared for a crown. In addition, lasers cannot be used to remove defective crowns or silver fillings, or prepare teeth for bridges.

-Traditional drills may still be needed to shape the filling, adjust the bite, and polish the filling even when a laser is used.

-Lasers do not eliminate the need for anesthesia.

We have been using lasers for over 12 years now. We used them on teeth with fillings in place every single day. Any type of cavity, on top of the teeth, in between teeth, on the cheek side, shallow or deep can all be treated with a laser. They can remove some crowns (all porcelain) and some silver fillings (by troughing around them) as well. A drill may occasionally be used to refine or smooth afterwards, as needed. And, as you've probably experienced in our office, lasers eliminate the need for anesthesia the VAST majority of the time.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU READ AND WHO YOU BELIEVE!! Spread the knowledge and help educate people on what lasers actually CAN do!!"

🌟 Laser Tongue & Lip Tie Releases for Infants 🌟

Did you know that tongue and lip ties can affect your baby’s ability to feed, latch, and even speak as they grow? At Dry Creek Pediatric Dentistry, we offer gentle, effective laser releases to address these common issues, helping babies thrive!

🔹 What is a tongue or lip tie?
A tongue or lip tie occurs when the tissue connecting the tongue or upper lip to the mouth is too tight, restricting movement and making feeding difficult.
🔹 Why choose laser treatment?
Using a laser for the procedure offers many benefits:

✔️ Minimally invasive – No cutting or stitches needed!
✔️ Quick recovery – Less pain and faster healing for your baby.
✔️ Precise and gentle – The laser is accurate, minimizing discomfort and risk.
✔️ Improved feeding – Helps babies latch properly, making breastfeeding easier.
✔️ Better speech development – Reduces future oral challenges that can affect speech.

If you suspect a tongue or lip tie is affecting your baby’s feeding or development, don’t hesitate to schedule a consultation with our team. We’re here to help your baby get the best start with gentle, effective care. We also offer payment options to make a comfortable financial option for every budget.

📅 Call us for more information or to book your appointment today at 801-766-2266 to learn more about how laser tongue and lip tie releases can make a difference for your baby!

Today, we reflect on the incredible legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose vision of equality, love, and justice continues to inspire us all. His words remind us that "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
As we celebrate his life, let us remember the power of kindness, compassion, and the importance of standing up for what is right. Dr. King’s dream wasn’t just for a brighter future, but for a world where we come together, no matter our differences, to create a better world.

On this day, we renew our commitment to love one another, lift each other up, and work towards a future where equality and peace prevail for all. Let us be the light and love. ♥️

Today we will be closing our doors to honor Dr. King’s legacy. We at Dry Creek Pediatric Dentistry wish you a peaceful holiday.

✨ Fun Fact of the Day! ✨

Did you know that baby teeth are just as important as adult teeth? 🦷💫

Even though they eventually fall out, those little pearly whites help your child chew, speak, and smile with confidence! 😁 They also act as placeholders for adult teeth, guiding them into the right spots. 🦷🦷🦷

To keep those baby teeth strong and healthy, make sure to brush twice a day, eat healthy foods, and visit us regularly for check-ups! 💪 Strong baby teeth lead to a healthy smile for years to come!

At Dry Creek Pediatric Dentistry, we love helping little smiles stay strong from the start! 🌟Call us today at 801-766-2266 to schedule your appointment with us today!
