February is a special month at Stites Dental Care. Itās the month when a national spotlight shines on childrenās dental health as well as the love and care of pets. Both causes are dear to our hearts.
Speaking of hearts, February also brings us Valentines. What better time than now, we asked ourselves, to introduce you to our latest heartthrob?
So, without further ado (except that drumroll, please), we presentā
šššDOTTIE STITESššš
Dottie, a stunning English bulldog with greenish-brown eyes and an all-over-spotted coat of many colors, joined Dr. Stitesā family in February, 2021.
After a full year of blissful puppyhoodāsnuggles and kisses, treats and toys, chewing everything in sight, and failing to learn the word, āNO!āāthis seems the perfect time for Dottie to join the PAAC and run with the big dogs.
In addition to lending her paw to help further the cause of Rosieās PAAC, Dottie will head up a new program designed just for our pupsāuh, we mean young patientsāaged 1-10 years, called (cue trumpets, please):
ššAdorable Dottie Oversees Pawfect Teeth, or ADOPT. šš
Just like our PAAC initiative, a percentage of profits* from your childrenās checkups will be donated to the Leeās Summit Animal Shelter from the ADOPT program.
On a day-to-day basis, Dottie will lend her name and adorable photos to an exclusive calendar and stickers designed to encourage kids to develop and track good brushing habits.
When a pupāCHILD, we mean childāreturns for a checkup and brings in a completed calendar, he or she is awarded a prize to acknowledge a job well done. Furthermore, his or her name will be entered into a yearly drawing for a bigger prize, as well as the opportunity for a $1,000 donation in the parentsā names to be given to the Shelter.
We hope Dottieās adorable charm brings a smile to your childrenās faces and helps them value the importance of dental health. Weāre also excited to see how ADOPT adds to the legacy and legend of Dottieās big sis, Rosieās PAAC.
Yes, February is an important month around here. Rosieās PAAC and now ADOPT are really our Valentines to our patients, just a small way we can encourage smiles and dental health, say thank you, and then return your support through the years back into our community.
And if any of you have a surefire way of teaching a spirited bull pup the meaning of the word, āNO,ā please speak to my wife. š
Yours,
Dennis A. Stites, DDS
