Sometimes, your braces may need a little extra help to shift your teeth. Elastics, also referred to as rubber bands, are small stretchy loops of latex that help move teeth into proper alignment during orthodontic treatment. Elastics are used to create additional force for teeth movement that would be more difficult to achieve using only braces.

You are responsible for placing and removing the elastics and they should be worn as prescribed by Dr. Tabibi! If you have any questions during your orthodontic treatment, don’t hesitate to ask us during your regular check-in appointment!

How are CEREC® crowns made? Vadadent Dental Group creates a three-dimensional model of your tooth (shown here) and then selects a ceramic block that matches the shade of your tooth being repaired. We then insert the block into the Milling Unit, where two diamond-coated burs carve the block into the indicated shape of the restoration. This process usually takes 8 to 18 minutes depending on the size and type of restoration. After the milling is finished, Dr. Tabibi will polish the finished filling or crown and bond it into place.
