Meet the Team Monday - We want to take a minute and introduce Trista. She is one of our assistants and has worked for Bella Orthodontics for just about a year. She says she loves every part of working at Bella Ortho. Trista loves tacos🌮 and a tall glass of water with a lime wedge. If she had to choose her favorite place to visit it would be Boise, Idaho, which is fitting since she says she prefers the mountains 🏔 to the beach. Meet The Team Monday - Today we want to help you get to know our office manager a little better. Shadoe has worked for Hansen Orthodontics for 4 years. You will most likely find her with a Diet Coke in hand. She loves sushi 🍣 and tres leches cake. She went to school to become a PE teacher and coach because she is a HUGE sports fan. She counts being a mom to her three kids as one of her greatest accomplishments. If she has a choice, she would spend time at the beach🏖, especially if it happens to be in Hawaii.

Have you ever wondered exactly how braces work? How can a bunch of wires and brackets (or plastic trays and attachments) actually make your teeth move? The answer is that braces work by exerting constant pressure on your teeth for extended periods of time.

The human body can do some amazing things through adaptation. When light pressure is applied consistently, the body reacts by remodeling and adapting to the tooth’s new position. Remodeling is the process wherein the body creates new bone to support your teeth as they slowly move into a new position. The process of remodeling essentially locks your teeth into the new position.

Regular appointments including adjustments are what helps to keep the process moving in the right direction, as well as patients consistently wearing rubber bands, as prescribed.

It’s “Meet the Team Monday” again! Today we want to help you get to know Dr. Tyson Miller a little better.

Dr. Miller was raised in Henderson, Nevada where he attended Green Valley High School. He was recruited by Brigham Young University to play soccer. He left BYU to serve a two year mission to Santiago, Chile. After his mission he returned to BYU where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He returned to Las Vegas to attend dental school at UNLV where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree graduating Cum Laude. He went on to complete a two year residency at Jacksonville University where he earned his specialty certificate in Orthodontics. He returned to Henderson to being practicing after his residency.

He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Miller and his wife, Tabitha, live in Henderson with their family. He loves to spend time watching and playing sports with his children. He loves to golf, wakeboard, and watch the Kansas City Chiefs.
