We’ve talked a lot about what AI could do in healthcare. Now we’re starting to see what it might actually look like in practice. ARPA-H has three companies developing AI agents that could help manage heart failure patients between visits, with health systems like Duke and Kaiser Permanente involved in testing. What’s interesting here is that these agents aren’t just designed to provide information. They’re being developed to take action as part of the care team. That’s a different level of AI adoption, and one worth paying attention to.
