Todays case consists of a family of three. The initial patient came in with an infected tooth. His #28+29 were too close together and the space would only hold one implant. Dr. Chen placed one immediate implant and the patient was so surprised at the speed of the procedure that he brought his wife in. She had four implants placed. The next hour, the wife brought her 84 years old father in and he also had four implants placed.

Patient is a 43 year old male. Patient came in today for consultation, he just had a bridge re cemented last week, and it had fractured again. He was tired of his bridge falling off, so he came in to talk to us.
Dr Chen told him that the options are:

Do crown lengthening, and remake the bridges or
Place Implants

Patient chose to have the implants done, but due to financing he wanted to do 6 implants and a 10 crown implants supported bridge.
Dr Chen did 5-in-1, immediate extraction, bone grafting, Sinus Lift (HSC), and immediate load temporization. Patient was extremely happy.

Todays patient is a 41 year old female. She had six implants placed in another country and in the course of four years, she has only had two of the implants restored. Needless to say, the patient was disappointed that the process was taking as long as it was. She found out about Dr. Chen's 5-in-1 and decided to have a consult. Due to waiting so long for her implants to be integrated, her natural teeth were loosened by her partial denture. In addition, some of the existing implants had perioimplantitus and were angled. Dr. Chen recommended removing the loose hopeless teeth as well as removing the implants affected by perioimplantitus.
The patient agreed to the work and Dr. Chen was able to save two of the orig. implants. He re-aligned the implants to be straighter (see pictures) and removed the hopeless teeth/implants. All of the implants were done under local infiltration utilizing Dr. Chen's 5-in-1 technique.

Todays patient is a 51 year old male. He is a good friend of yesterdays patient's wife. Yesterdays patient was very happy that it was possible to eat directly after the surgery and all of the work done did not conflict with having diabetes and a heart stent. Today's patient compared prices around town and decided to come see Dr. Chen.

The patient decided to have 8 implants done as it was similar to amount his friend had done (even though we treatment planned 14 implants total). He decided to have only up to the first molars in this visit and do the other implants if he liked how these came out. Dr. Chen removed all of the patients periodontal hopeless teeth and placed immediate implants with a 4 unit bridge on the three implants near the canine region. Dr. Chen utilized his innovative 5-in-1 technique on this surgery combining immediate extraction, bone grafting, HSC sinus lift, immediate implants and immediate load. The patient was very grateful that, due to Dr. Chen's experience and technique, this would be the only visit.

Todays patient is a 55 year old male. He came in today with localized periodontal disease and wanted to fix his perio problems. Most of his teeth with perio had mobility of class II so Dr. Chen gave him two options. Option one was to try and save his teeth with perio surgeries and option two involved extracting the effected teeth and placing implants. The patient decided that he wanted to have a more definite solution and choose to have implants placed.

Dr. Chen performed an immediate extraction, immediate implant placement and immediate load. The patient has diabetes and was concerned about how the procedure would effect his condition. Dr. Chen explained that by taking care of the infection in his teeth, he is actually making his body healthier and may see improvement on his diabetes.

A personal note from Dr. Chen: #30 implant is a little angled to avoid the mental nerve. The HSC using new type of freeze dry bone this time instead bio-oss, so has no radio-marker.
