🦷 DID YOU KNOW?❓
It’s not always what you drink—it can be how often you drink it! 👀
One of our longtime team members used to struggle with cavities. Despite brushing and taking care of her teeth, she seemed to find herself getting cavity after cavity. Then, one of our hygienists had a conversation with her that changed everything.
She learned that it wasn’t necessarily what she was drinking, but how often she was sipping on sugary and acidic drinks throughout the day.
🥤Every sip can expose your teeth to sugars and acids, giving cavity-causing bacteria more opportunities to produce acid and weaken the enamel.
💡Once she understood what was happening, she made a few simple changes to her daily habits. Instead of sipping on those drinks throughout the day, she reduced how long it was taking her to finish that drink and stuck to water the rest of the day.
✨And the best part? She hasn’t had a cavity in years!
This is why we believe dental hygiene is about so much more than just cleaning teeth. Education matters. Sometimes a small change in your everyday habits can have a huge impact on your oral health.
If you find yourself getting cavities frequently, let’s talk about your habits—not just your brushing! There may be a simple change that can make all the difference. 💜🦷
