Community Resource Fair Connects Organizations With Lansing Residents

Michigan businesses need certainty and stability to invest, hire and grow.

That’s another reason the Lansing Regional Chamber is encouraging a NO vote on Proposal 1.

Convening a Constitutional Convention would begin a process to draft a general revision of Michigan’s Constitution, potentially creating uncertainty around the framework that governs our state.

At a time when Michigan is competing with 49 other states for jobs, talent and investment, our focus should be on strengthening our economic competitiveness and creating greater predictability for employers and communities.

Michigan already has a process for considering targeted constitutional amendments.

Statewide in-person early voting begins today.

Vote NO on Proposal 1 on November 3.

The East Lansing Film Festival opens its 29th and final season this weekend with “Ernie & Emma” from actor and filmmaker Bruce Campbell. Founder Susan Woods has decided this year will be the last. 5 years of showing up for Lansing’s seniors!

The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and its Ambassadors celebrated DAP Service & Resources with a ribbon cutting in honor of their 5th anniversary serving the Lansing community.

When Yolanda Pope, LPN, founded DAP in October 2021, the goal was care coordination: helping seniors and medically complex neighbors navigate healthcare, access benefits, and get through crises.

Today their team of Community Health Workers and Resource Facilitators, working under licensed clinical oversight, meets people where they are, every single day.

You’ll find DAP at the nonprofit hub at 405 E. Greenlawn Avenue, providing care coordination, community support, and, when needed, a safe place to land.
