Find out what hobby Sarah’s enjoyed since she was 6 years old. And, also, the best piece of advice she’s received … is from a movie. Keep reading.
Q. What initially drew you to your field?
A. I've always been interested in the medical field. I went to my local career center during high school and explored nursing, respiratory therapy, and X-ray tech. A teacher suggested dental hygiene, and I never looked back.
Q. What recent accomplishment at work has you feeling most energized?
A. We recently started using Curodont, a product that can reverse early-stage decay. I am now seeing patients back again 6 months after Curodont was applied, and seeing success! Being able to help patients and see good results is rewarding and energizing.
Q. Do you have any hidden talents or unique hobbies?
A. My grandmother taught me how to crochet as a little girl, and I still enjoy it!
Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A. "If you focus on what you left behind, you will never see what lies ahead." Is this a quote from the movie “Ratatouille”? Yes, it is! For some reason, I always think of this when life changes come up. This quote/advice was true for me when switching offices to work at Dyras Dental. Change can be scary, but it can also be amazing.
Q. What makes you laugh the hardest?
A. My husband's corny jokes. His jokes and puns keep both of us laughing.
