At Pediatric Dental Laser Center, our goal is to help your child eat, sleep, and speak better.

We use advanced laser technology to fully release your child’s tongue-tie in a precise, quick, and sedation-free procedure. Our board-certified pediatric dentists, Dr. Michael Wong, and Dr. Katie Lapps Wert, have combined experience of over 32 years with pediatric patients. They have seen the effects of untreated tongue and lip ties on their patients and the need for a better outcome. In response

to this need, they pursued additional training in the cutting-edge field of laser technology. This technology allows us to easily release a tongue or lip tie in significantly less time than traditional procedures, usually with minimal to no bleeding and with a much better outcome than with previous traditional methods. We are pleased to offer this service to our patients and the community.

We recently had the honor of attending the Breastfeeding Resource Center's Tongue Tie Symposium, where Dr. Katie was a panelist along with other tongue tie providers such as local IBCLCs, ENTs, dentists, OTs, PTs, SLPs, and pediatricians.

Dr. Katie and Dr. Wong were honored to spend the evening discussing and learning from other vital members of the healthcare team so that we can provide patients with the most comprehensive care.

Thank you to Babies First Lactation & Education for this amazing graphic!
As you can see – baby’s needs are very small in the early days! Don’t become discouraged if you pump or hand express and don’t see a lot on day 1-3 – they don’t need a lot. As the days progress, your body begins to make more as your baby’s needs increase.
Don’t compare your output to a formula bottle either – formula is offered in a 2 oz bottle and as you an see, baby’s not need that much until at least 1 week old. Remember this graphic if you need to offer your baby formula supplements – just small amounts are necessary.
