We had such a great time at the Elizabethtown Fair last night! 🎡🐄🐖
We’re proud to support and give back to the community we’re so lucky to be a part of. Our doctors had a blast attending the fair and even got in on the action by bidding on some of the animals! 🐮🐷🐑
Thank you to everyone who makes events like this possible and continues to support our local community. We’re already looking forward to next year! ❤️

Did you know that it is recommended to have your child evaluated for orthodontic treatment at age 7? It may seem early, but this is the time to catch any problems that may be present while the jaw is still growing! 😃🦷Here are 7 reasons why your child should be seen at age 7:

1. Crowded teeth – Not enough space for permanent teeth to erupt properly.
2. Crossbite – Upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth.
3. Overbite or excessive overjet – Front teeth stick out too far or overlap excessively.
4. Underbite – Lower teeth or jaw extend in front of the upper teeth.
5. Early or late loss of baby teeth – Can affect how permanent teeth come in.
6. Harmful oral habits – Such as prolonged thumb sucking or pacifier use that has changed the bite.
7. Jaw growth or alignment concerns – The jaws don’t line up properly or shift when biting.

Braces and/or treatment may not be needed, but an early evaluation is the first step to building healthy, beautiful smiles! 🦷😃

POV: A patient asks how long they need to wear their retainer. Answer is FOREVER! Your retainer has a very important job of stabilizing your teeth. Your retainer is making sure your teeth remain straight, otherwise your teeth will begin to move and go back to how they initially were. You should continue wearing your retainer fulltime until the doctor lets you know when you can wear strictly just nights.

Also: don’t forget to grab a pair of sunglasses at your next appointment! Rock this summer with a great smile and shades! 😎🦷
