The Cranial Therapy Center is the first and only Early Intervention Cranial Center in the United States to provide both helmet and manual therapy treatment for infants with cranial deformities and related conditions.

The honest answer is no, it doesn’t hurt.

The helmet is custom-made for each baby and designed to fit comfortably. It uses very gentle, passive guidance to work with your baby’s natural growth. Most little ones adapt within just a few days and go right back to smiling, playing, rolling, and sleeping as usual.

We also pair the helmet with hands-on manual therapy, so the whole process feels supportive rather than stressful for both baby and parents.

June is National Safety Month - a good reminder that even small, consistent habits help keep babies safe and support healthy development.

Because safe sleep means babies spend a lot of time on their backs, giving them plenty of varied positioning while they’re awake makes a real difference. Tummy time, switching which way they face during play, and limiting long stretches in car seats or swings can all help reduce pressure on one area of the head.

Even with great positioning, some babies still develop a flat spot. That’s when therapy can gently guide the head as it continues to grow. The earlier we evaluate, the better the response usually is.
