Hello! šŸ‘‹ Itā€™s time to reintroduce myself and Leix Dental! šŸ¦·āœØ
If youā€™re new here, or youā€™ve been following us for a while, Iā€™d love to share a little more about who we are, what we do, and what makes our practice unique.

At Leix Dental, we believe oral health and overall health go hand in hand. Thatā€™s why we combine Complete Health Dentistry with Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry.
āœØ Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry is where the artistry comes in.
I love the creative side of dentistry, restoring teeth, designing smiles, and helping people feel confident in the way they look and feel. Thereā€™s something incredibly rewarding about recreating a smile and seeing the difference it can make in someoneā€™s life.

šŸ’™ Complete Health Dentistry is the foundation of our practice.
Your mouth is so much more than your smile. Itā€™s the gateway to your digestive system and an important window into your overall health.
Inflammation and other changes in the mouth can sometimes be connected to conditions affecting the rest of the body. Likewise, systemic health issues can show up in your mouth.
Our amazing hygiene team plays an important role in helping our patients maintain healthy smiles and supporting their overall well-being.

šŸ©ŗ A little about me: Iā€™ve been practicing dentistry for over 23 years and opened Leix Dental in 2008 to provide the kind of care I would want for myself and my family.
I love the science and artistry of dentistry, but what truly excites me is making a meaningful difference in peopleā€™s health and lives.
Health and wellness are our jam! šŸ’™

We take dentistry seriously, but we believe in caring for the whole person, not just the teeth.
Because itā€™s not just about your smile. Itā€™s about you! šŸ’™

Welcome to Leix Dental, where everyone ā€˜Leixā€™ to smile! šŸ˜

"Leix Dental is truly wonderful. They were so patient and took the time to explain everything to my daughter, which made such a difference. She actually feels comfortable going to the dentist now, no fear at all. I can't recommend them enough. 10/10."

A comfortable kid is our favorite kind of win šŸŒŸ

Dental visits can be intimidating at any age, but especially for kids. Taking the time to explain, to listen, to go at their pace, that's what turns fear into comfort, and comfort into a lifetime of healthy habits.

Thank you for trusting us with your daughter's care, and for sharing how much it meant.

If your child could use a dental home that makes them feel safe, we'd love to meet your family.

A little fall cheer, Leix Dental style šŸŽƒ

Great care doesn't stop at the front door, it starts with a team (and a practice owner!) who bring warmth and personality to everything we do.

Here's to embracing the season and the little moments that make Leix Dental feel like family.

A game changer for better oral health šŸ’™

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is one of the most advanced hygiene methods available, and it's a big part of how we approach cleanings differently at Leix Dental. Instead of the old scrape-and-polish routine, GBT gently removes biofilm, plaque, and stains using a guided, minimally invasive process that's easier on your teeth and gums.

We're proud to be one of the few practices in McHenry County certified in GBT. It's just one more way we bring the most modern, comfortable approach to your wellness visit.

Curious what a GBT cleaning feels like? Come experience it for yourself.

"Dr. Leix and her team are awesome! They take their time giving you a thorough exam and cleaning. They will take your pulse, medical history etc. You even get a nice warm neck wrap while you're being examined. She has many services for her patients! I've been coming here for many years and I highly recommend you see for yourself!"

This is complete health dentistry in a nutshell šŸ’™

A thorough exam means more than checking your teeth. Pulse, medical history, the full picture, because your mouth doesn't exist separately from the rest of you. And yes, the warm neck wraps are just one of the ways we like to make wellness visits feel less like an appointment and more like time taken care of.

Thank you to this longtime patient for putting it so well, and for years of trusting us with your care.

If you haven't experienced it for yourself yet, now's a great time to.

Six signs.
One connection most people miss. šŸ¦·ā¤ļø
Your gums are one of the clearest windows into your overall health.
If any of these sound familiar, itā€™s worth a look.

I donā€™t just look at your teeth, I look at the whole picture. Whatā€™s happening in your gums is connected to whatā€™s happening in the rest of your body, and Iā€™ve built my whole practice around finding those connections before they become bigger problems.
If you checked a few boxes, letā€™s talk about it. Reserve your wellness visit and letā€™s connect the dots.
Letā€™s get you some real answers. šŸ¦·šŸ’™

"I feel good" is the goal āœØ

Guided Biofilm Therapy isn't just about a cleaner smile, it's about how you feel afterward too. No scraping, no discomfort, just a gentle, thorough clean that leaves your mouth feeling genuinely refreshed.

It's one more reason we're proud to offer GBT here at Leix Dental, because your wellness visit should feel good from start to finish.

What an airway scan can reveal šŸ«

This is a CBCT scan measuring airway area, one of the tools we use to evaluate how open or restricted a patient's airway truly is. The color mapping shows where the airway narrows, which can point to sleep quality issues, mouth breathing, snoring, and more.

Airway health is easy to overlook because it's not something you can see just by looking in the mirror. But it plays a real role in how well you sleep, how you feel during the day, and even how a child's face and jaw develop.

This is part of why we screen for airway concerns at wellness visits, especially for kids as their airways are still developing.

If you or your child have signs like snoring, mouth breathing, or restless sleep, let's take a closer look together.

"Always an enjoyable visit at the dentist with great people that really like what they do! Very professional and friendly."

An enjoyable visit at the dentist? We'll take it šŸ˜Š

Our team genuinely loves what we do, and we're so glad that comes through the moment you walk in. Professional care doesn't have to feel clinical, it can feel like catching up with people who are actually glad to see you.

Thank you for the kind words and for being part of our Leix Dental family.

If you're looking for a dental experience that doesn't feel like, well, a dental experience, we'd love to see you.
