To all of our valued patients,
At this time we are only seeing emergencies of existing patients of record during limited hours. Emergencies may include severe tooth pain, uncontrolled bleeding, facial or intraoral swelling or traumatized teeth causing fracture or tooth loss. Our limited treatment has been mandated by Governor Walz and strongly suggested by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry and American Dental Association because of the immediately severe threat of the COVID 19 virus. Limiting non emergent dental treatment is critical to help stop the spread of the disease to patients, staff and dentists as well as to preserve needed personal protective equipment for the healthcare providers in the busy hospitals treating severely ill COVID 19 patients. If you are currently having any dental issues that you believe need immediate attention, please call our office so we can assess your needs and determine if your condition fits the current criterion for in person diagnostics and treatment. You can be assured that diligent infection control will be practiced in our office if you require an appointment.
Because we are in unprecedented times mandating a reduction in our offered dental services, we have been forced to make difficult yet temporary decisions in staffing. This includes reduced hours for Dr's. Hedin and Jenos and the elimination of hours for Drs. Nelson, Schneider, Helgerson and Carpenter. This is meant to be temporary although the exact date of a return to normalcy is currently uncertain. If you have a dental emergency, Dr. Hedin and Jenos are available to assess and potentially treat your dental needs. Rest assured all of us at Lakeville Family Dental Centre are thinking about your dental and overall health during this difficult time, and we are excited to meet all of your dental needs as soon as we get beyond the current COVID 19 pandemic. Please be healthy and take care of your family and friends. We are all in this together as Lakeville Family Dental Centre will continue to care about the health of our patients and community at large. Thank you…please call with any concerns.
