Today we performed a tongue tie release using Solea laser technology on an older child struggling with speech concerns. Many parents think tongue ties only affect babies, but restricted tongue mobility can continue to impact speech, oral function, eating habits, and even confidence as children grow older.

Seeing these kids finally gain better movement and function is always rewarding. 💙

Breastfeeding should be a bonding experience… not a struggle for neither baby or mom 💔.

This baby was referred to our clinic due to difficulty breastfeeding and bottle feeding. When you lift the tongue and see blanching like this, that’s not a normal stretch… that’s tension from a tongue tie.

That tension can impact:
• Feeding
• Speech development
• Oral function

Successful outcomes rely on a multidisciplinary approach, including collaboration with lactation consultants, pediatricians, craniosacral therapists, feeding therapists, etc to optimize feeding function.

Comprehensive care = better results
