Listening to constituents speak about South Lake, the number one issue I hear is over development. Let’s address it then. Sad as it may seem, development is here and getting more prevalent.

Can you help it if Florida is one of the most popular places to live?

How do we slow down the growth or at least grow intentionally? We get engaged. We get involved. I implore each one of you to attend a city council meeting, to get up and speak publicly to your council, to ask your council member what they are doing about development.

Get educated, yet, above all, get involved.

I attend seven city councils, one school board and one county commission meeting every month. The primary reason is to get knowledgeable on what is happening in the District. I also do it to express my view and get to know council members. I speak on a topic prevalent to South Lake and end with addressing farming. I have created relationships with our public representatives, and I have become a vocal member of this community.

Get involved. Get engaged. Take back our government.
