A New IAOMT Review Is Sparking Important Conversations About Root Canals

The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) recently released an extensive review of the scientific literature surrounding root canal-treated teeth.

One of the key findings? Many root canal-treated teeth may continue to show signs of chronic inflammation around the root, even years after treatment. Modern 3D CBCT imaging is revealing much more than traditional dental X-rays can detect.
