Tirzepatide + Protein: Eat Enough When You’re Not Hungry 🍗✨

💗 MY PERSONAL JOURNEY

This journey has been personal for me, too. I went from almost 180 lbs to 135 lbs, and learning about nutrition, protein, movement, and making better choices made a huge difference in my journey.

I’m sharing the information that helped ME along the way because I know how overwhelming it can be. My goal is to educate, share my experience, and help you ask better questions for your own journey. ✨

🍗 WHY PROTEIN MATTERS

When your appetite is lower, it can be easy to accidentally under-eat protein. Getting enough can help support muscle while you’re working toward your goals.

🎯 A commonly used range: 1.2–2.0 g of protein per kg of body weight daily, depending on your individual needs.

70 kg = approximately 84–140 g/day

🥣 CAN’T HANDLE BIG MEALS?

Try smaller meals throughout the day and focus on protein first.

Easy options:

Greek yogurt • Protein shakes • Eggs • Tuna • Chicken • Tofu • Cottage cheese • Lean meats

🥤 A protein shake can be an easy backup when food isn’t appealing. Sip it slowly and listen to your body.

One important note: collagen shouldn’t be your primary protein source because it doesn’t provide the same complete amino acid profile as many other protein sources.

⏰ WORK WITH YOUR APPETITE

If you’re hungrier in the morning, get protein in early. Pay attention to the times of day and days of the week when eating feels easier.

⚠️ If you’re consistently struggling to eat or experiencing significant weakness, fatigue, or other concerning symptoms, talk with your healthcare provider.

🧠 BOTTOM LINE

Less appetite doesn’t mean less nutrition. Small protein rich meals + convenient protein options can help you stay nourished while working toward your goals. 💗

Reintroducing Myself 🤍

It’s been a little while, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself. 🤍

Hi, I’m Angela! I’m the owner of Glow Devotion and co-owner of Glowvotion Facial Bar, located in downtown Lake Jackson.

Before aesthetics, I spent many years working at the hospital. I actually started out in registration and worked my way up through the years to an amazing position as an Office Medical Coordinator for several departments throughout the hospital. I learned so much during those years, and that experience has definitely carried over into how I run my businesses today.

In 2018, I decided to take a leap into the beauty industry, and that’s when the idea of opening Lake Jackson’s first organic teeth whitening studio came to life.

I named it Glow Devotion, a name that actually came from a fun blog idea I had years ago called Clothe Devotion. I’ve always loved fashion, sharing outfits and links, remote styling, and home decor, so naturally, I’ve always had a little bit of everything going on. 😂

Fast forward through graduating aesthetic school, growing my business, eventually selling my original studio space, and continuing to own the Glow Devotion name… and here we are!

In 2025, I opened Glowvotion Facial Bar as a co-owner, Lake Jackson’s first facial bar. We’re officially hitting our one-year mark, and it has been such an amazing journey. There is SO much more to come. ✨

These days, I keep my books open a few days a week while playing more of an owner/back-office role. But if there’s one thing I absolutely obsess over, it’s KOREAN LASH LIFTS. 😍

I’m constantly learning new techniques, testing the best products, bringing in the best of the best, and educating others about Korean lash lifts.

I also offer Korean Lash Lift Trainings and Teeth Whitening Trainings for those who want to learn from my years of experience and add these services to their own businesses. Teaching and sharing what I’ve learned along the way has become something I genuinely love. 🤍

You’ll find me a few days a week at Glowvotion Facial Bar seeing clients, working behind the scenes, popping in at the front desk, or doing whatever needs to be done that day.

I’m also an affiliate with an amazing, top-rated peptide company, having way too much fun on TikTok, and I’ve even become a top seller over there. 😂 I’m also a Wayfair affiliate partner because, of course, my love for home decor had to make an appearance somewhere.

So basically… I’m almost 50, and I’m doing a little bit of EVERYTHING I love. And honestly? That’s what this season of life is all about.

Building businesses. Creating. Learning. Educating. Fashion. Home decor. Beauty. TikTok. Lash lifts. Teaching. And enjoying the freedom to explore all the things that make me happy.

You’ll definitely be seeing more of me around here. I want to be more active on this page and share more of the real behind-the-scenes of my life, business, beauty, and all the random things I’m currently obsessed with. 😂
