5 Healthy Teeth Habits I Teach My Patients (And My Kid 😉)

As a dentist and a mom, these are the non-negotiables in our house:

🦷 1. Brush 2x a day — no excuses.
Morning breath is real… but bedtime brushing is the most important. Plaque loves to party while you sleep.

🪥 2. Don’t rush it. 2 full minutes.
Set a timer. Play a song. Make it fun. Thorough > fast.

🧵 3. Floss daily. Yes, daily.
If you’re not flossing, you’re only cleaning 60% of your teeth. Your toothbrush can’t reach between them!

💧 4. Choose water over juice & soda.
Your enamel will thank you. Sip smart.

👩🏻‍⚕️ 5. Don’t skip your cleanings.
Even perfect brushers need professional care. Prevention is cheaper (and easier) than treatment.
