Our next featured guest in the 2023 Community Highlight, a social media series that showcases those in the community that we have the privilege of partnering with, is Dr. Scott M. Hannaman, DDS.

Dr. Scott M. Hannaman is a dentist at Hannaman, Hebert, Ritter Family Dentistry specializing in prevention and restorative dentistry. He defines success as positively impacting individuals through consistent, professional, and kind service.

Despite several challenges faced by the community in recent years, Dr. Hannaman and his team were able to maintain a high level of care for their patients and incorporate new technology into their practice. Dr. Hannaman is inspired by his family, team, and patients, and advises aspiring dentists to always do their best to care for patients.

In addition to his career in dentistry, Dr. Hannaman used to work as a computer technician and often enjoys helping patients and friends with computer issues. His hobbies include running, kayaking, fishing, and playing/watching basketball. Dr. Hannaman looks forward to sharing life with his wife and three children in the upcoming year.

To our patient family, I hope you all made it through Monday's rain events okay.

We took on about 1-2 inches in our office, but the damages are minimal. Thankfully our team put in the hard work and we were able to remove the water and wet carpet quickly. Drying efforts continued yesterday and today we begin getting the office ready for professional care.

We are currently making way to begin seeing patients tomorrow, Thursday the 20th. If your Monday afternoon, Tuesday, or Wednesday appointment was cancelled, please call our office tomorrow or Friday to get rescheduled. We will begin confirming and communication with patients this afternoon for all upcoming appointments, including tomorrow.

I appreciate all of you and your understanding. We will be okay thankfully.

We are excited to provide an incredible opportunity to help in our established and growing family dental practice. Our office is looking for an intelligent, positive, energetic, and self-motivated individual to help us serve Lake Charles area with a focus on caring education and prevention in oral health.

Primary responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing the hygiene schedule.
Job duties will include greeting patients, collecting paperwork and updated medical histories, insurance verifications, taking diagnostic x-rays, administration and scheduling of our preventative oral health visits. In addition, you will cross train as a clinical and administrative assistant when needed.

Personal Requirements:

- Excellent phone and personal etiquette
- Prefer previous experience with customer service centered on knowing your patients and their oral health needs
- Interested in a career in dental office administration and assisting
- Ability to perform at a high level with other team members
- Highly motivated, organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Hours:
Full-time: Monday – Thurs 7:45am to 5:15 pm.
Fridays: 7:45am to 3pm
Off for major holidays
Salary:
Compensation commensurate with experience

We are happy to announce that our office did well through round two of "Hurricane of the Month Club." We look forward to resuming routine and emergency dental care on Monday, Oct 12th.
