So, let’s talk about it: the doctor & dental assistant relationship 🦷💚

People love to say dentists are mean, don’t appreciate their team, or don’t pay attention to the people holding the office together. Whew chileeee… we have heard it ALL. 😅

But down here at Countryside, we truly try to build a family. We celebrate birthdays, accomplishments, engagements, babies, hard days, good days — ALL of it. Because behind every smooth schedule, every beautiful smile, & every surgery… is a TEAM making it happen.

Now listen… any growing team gone have growing pains. That’s just life. You learn personalities, communication styles, strengths, weaknesses, & how to work together better every single day. But one thing about us? We are committed to growing TOGETHER. 🌱

It has been a long road, but babyyyy… there is finally light at the end of the tunnel & we are proud of how far the CSD Family has come. 🤍

Sorry, hunny… we wish we could save it, but that tooth done crossed over to the other side 😭🦷

See, teeth don’t usually go bad overnight. It’s a slow country cookin’ process … missing cleanings, putting off that little ache, saying “I’ma wait one more month,” and before ya know it… BOOM!

That little boo boo turned into a whole situation.

Dentistry is meant to be PREVENTATIVE. Stay ahead of the game, keep those cleanings, & don’t ignore what your mouth trying to tell ya!

Yeah… so, Dr. Watts speaks SPANISH! & I don’t mean Duolingo Spanish either 😂 I mean the real deal. Our Spanish-speaking patients absolutely LOVE being able to talk about their dental concerns, treatment plans, fears, & questions in their authentic language. That level of comfort matters when it comes to healthcare.

There is just something special about being able to fully understand your provider & know your provider fully understands YOU. From cleanings to crowns to implants, Dr. Watts makes sure our Spanish-speaking patients feel right at home at CSD 🤎

Now Dr. Bostic… she’s there for emotional support when it comes to Spanish 🤣 She gone smile, nod, & probably ask Dr. Watts what y’all just said afterwards.

Lol, yes. We have officially added social media to the job description 😂💚🤎

The world is changing… & people (including our CSD Family) are getting most of their oral health information ONLINE now. The problem is… that information ain’t always true 😅 That’s why, as a TEAM, we decided to use our platform to spread REAL, trustworthy education about oral health in a way people can actually understand.

We also know a lot of people fear the dentist & we are here to help bridge that gap. Social media gives people a chance to see who we really are before they even walk through the doors … a group of down-to-earth people who genuinely care about our patients.

Plus, educating people should be fun! We laugh, we joke, we dance a little, & we teach along the way 😂 I mean… who wants to be a part of a boring dental office anyways?! Around here, we work hard, laugh loud, & keep it country 💚🦷🤠

Congrats to our dental assistant, Alissa, on completing her certification in Expanded Duties for Dental Assisting (EFDA)! 🎉🦷

An EFDA is a dental assistant who has received advanced training to perform additional clinical duties alongside the doctor, such as coronal polishing, taking final impressions, & assisting with more advanced procedures. This certification helps our practice run more efficiently, allows appointments to flow smoother, and helps patients receive high-quality care in a more timely manner. Most importantly, it allows our patients to spend even more one-on-one time receiving treatment & education throughout their visit.

Alissa started her clinicals at Countryside Dental & Aesthetics, and we have truly taken her under our wings to help grow her knowledge while she learned the foundations of dentistry. She balanced school while also working part-time at CSD, & that kind of dedication does not go unnoticed.

We are so proud of you, Alissa. Your willingness to learn everything around you is inspiring. In dentistry, the learning and growth never stop, and we are excited to continue watching you evolve into an amazing dental professional.
