🦷🦷✨ Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. John K. Dooley, D.D.S.! ✨🦷

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. John Dooley to Slate Family Dentistry! With more than four decades in dentistry, Dr. Dooley brings a wealth of experience, a passion for restorative dentistry, and—perhaps most importantly—a great sense of humor to our practice.

A Tampa, Florida native, Dr. Dooley graduated from Jesuit High School in 1975. Seeking more humidity, he moved around the south where he graduated from Loyola University - New Orleans in 1979, and Emory University School of Dentistry in 1983. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte in 1984.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dooley has been deeply involved in organized dentistry, including extensive service with the Georgia Dental Association, the Northwest District Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Foundation, and the Hinman Dental Society. He has served in numerous leadership roles and was honored as a GDA Honorable Fellow.

Dr. Dooley has two sons, Connor (31) and Gavin (29), and is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Atlanta.

Outside of the office, Dr. Dooley enjoys golf, tennis, and home repair projects.

🌊 A couple of fun facts about Dr. Dooley: As a young man, he spent his summers working at his brother’s surfboard shop —where he managed to collect more than a few memorable sunburns along the way! ☀️🏄‍♂️ More recently he has hiked to the top of Yosemite Falls! 🥾🏔️

We’re excited to have Dr. Dooley bring his experience, enthusiasm, and personality to our team—and we can’t wait for you to meet him! He will be at the office with Dr. Slate every Monday and Tuesday.
