Some moments shake you to your core. They remind us of the deepest fears many carry—that a child may not make it home, that time can be taken too soon, and that in a single instant, an entire community can be forever changed by unimaginable loss.

Yesterday, that reality became heartbreakingly real for so many in our community.

Our hearts are with the Ascension Episcopal School community—every student, family, faculty member, and first responder impacted by this tragedy. We are also holding close the loved ones of the innocent senior whose life was taken far too soon.

There are no perfect words in moments like these—only grief, prayer, and the need to come together and support one another. We pray for comfort, strength, and peace for all who are hurting.
