Swiss Dental Solutions - World Market Leader in Ceramic Dental Implants has created a very elegant metal-free single tooth replacement option. A tissue level implant with a screwed and cemented post. Both the post and the implant shoulder can be prepared like a traditional crown. Since the crown is supported by the body of the implant itself and not just an abutment, the functional crown/root ratio is the same as a natural tooth.

I will discuss the pitfalls of older zirconia implant designs in an upcoming post, and why zirconia got the terrible reputation it still carries today, despite improved materials, improved implant designs, and a better understanding of the techniques necessary to make this option successful.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Dr. Preston “Jay” Webre, who founded and cared for this dental practice for many years before his well-earned retirement in 2020. His dedication to his patients and his gentle spirit set the foundation for the care we continue to provide today. We are honored to carry on his legacy and grateful for the trust he built within our practice.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness. Dr. Webre will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Visitation will take place at Martin and Castille tomorrow, October 23rd from 11:30-1:30 preceding the service at 1:30.
