🍁🦷 Happy National Dental Hygiene Month! 🦷🍁
It’s the perfect time to fall 🍂 into some healthy dental habits! October is national dental hygiene month and whether you’re a tiny tooth-brusher or a grown-up who still needs a reminder (😉), keeping those smiles clean is something to celebrate!

✨ FUN DENTAL FACTS! ✨
🪥 You should brush 2 times a day for 2 minutes each
🧵 Flossing helps clean the places your toothbrush simply can’t reach.
🦠 Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that can contribute to cavities and gum disease if it isn’t removed regularly.
🎃 So this month, let’s remember: brush, floss, smile, repeat! 😁✨

What’s your little one’s favorite way to make brushing fun? Tell us below! 👇💬

🦷✨TGIF!✨🦷
Thank Goodness I floss!!

Here are some fun facts about flossing for your Friday!

🦷 Removes plaque — Flossing cleans between your teeth where a toothbrush can’t reach well.

🦠 Reduces bacteria — It helps remove bacteria and food particles that can contribute to dental problems.

🩸 Helps prevent gum disease — Regular flossing can reduce plaque buildup along the gum line, lowering the risk of gingivitis.

😁 Helps prevent cavities — Cleaning between teeth removes plaque that can contribute to decay.

👃 Can improve breath — Removing trapped food and bacteria can help reduce bad breath.

🦷 Helps protect your gums — Keeping plaque under control can help maintain healthier gum tissue.

🧑‍⚕️ Supports regular dental care — Good daily oral hygiene makes it easier to maintain your teeth and gums between dental visits.

❤️ Supports overall health — Oral health is connected with overall health, although flossing should not be viewed as a way to prevent unrelated diseases on its own.

✨ What is laughing gas? 😁🎈
Nitrous oxide (aka “laughing gas”) is a gentle, inhaled form of sedation we sometimes use in pediatric dentistry to help children feel more relaxed and comfortable during their dental visit when receiving treatment.
Your child simply breathes the nitrous oxide through a small, comfortable nose mask where they get to pick one of our twelve scents to enjoy while watching something on Disney+! It works quickly to create a calm, relaxed feeling while they remain awake, responsive, and able to communicate with us throughout the appointment. 💗🦷
And the best part? Once we’re finished, the effects of nitrous wear off quickly—so they can get back to their day and are rewarded with a popsicle if they choose!🌈
Our goal is always the same: happy, comfortable kids who can build positive dental experiences from an early age.🥰🦷
