Kung fu (gongfu [kəNG ˈfo͞o] literally means “skill acquired through time and effort,” referring to mastery achieved through hard work in any field, not just martial arts.

While often used in the West to mean Chinese fighting styles, it broadly describes excellence attained through patience and energy.

While going through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine Mastery program, “Kung Fu” is utilized throughout dental sleep medicine.

I’ve always utilized “kung fu” while training in Shaolin Martial Arts and life. At the AADSM it’s refreshing to know that there are so many people that also utilize “Kung Fu” within their practice of dental sleep medicine. Thank you Suzanne Thai for testing my knowledge, all of the amazing presenters, exhibitors that always go out of their way, and to all those that keep sharpening their knowledge!

In dental sleep medicine, collaborative care can start with you! This past April 18-19, we had another amazing group. Everyone was eager to share their knowledge and work together during the AADSM Mastery hands-on workshop at UIC. I feel so blessed to be able to network together with experienced faculty and colleagues. Thank you once again to everyone that participated and is ready to help out your community with collaborative care for treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea!
