Last month, Evan J Fry, DMD served on a healthcare mission team to Cubulco, Guatemala 🇬🇹 Over 5 clinic days, he provided preventative, restorative, and surgical care to approximately 200 patients.

Dr. Fry is grateful to Brenda Wilcox Abraham, MD, a sports medicine physician with whom he served on a trip to Nicaragua in 2021, for inviting him on this trip. He would also like to thank AMG International, a nonprofit whose hospital hosted the mission and that coordinated a talented team of local translators including Jorge Pablo Hernandez—although Dr. Fry’s Spanish improved greatly by the end of the trip 🙌 It truly is a team effort to pull off these types of missions.

Dr. Fry is happy to resume practice at La Grange Dental Studio and looks forward to returning to the mission field next year. In the meantime, he will continue to address unmet dental need locally through his involvement with the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry Inclusive Care Clinic, the Chicago Dental Society Foundation clinic in Wheaton, and the Dental Lifeline Network.

Our office had the pleasure of sponsoring the Park District of La Grange’s Kentucky Derby-themed May Senior Luncheon. We raffled off a brand-new Oral-B iO electric toothbrush and Evan J Fry, DMD even won a round of bingo 🤩We look forward to returning to next month’s luncheon!

This past week, Evan J Fry, DMD was at the Pankey Institute taking continuing education. This was the third course he has taken with Pankey, and he gained additional knowledge about restoring teeth in proper form and function. He looks forward to bringing back his learnings in order to better serve our patients.

While the course ran from 8 AM until 9 PM for five straight days, he did find a little time to have fun while down in Key Biscayne 🌴

We must also give a special shout-out to Dr. Maragos for covering him at the practice while Dr. Fry was gone 🙌

Our office is closed until Thursday, October 30th because Evan J Fry, DMD is serving in the American Dental Association House of Delegates in Washington, DC. The House meets annually to develop national policies that benefit dental patients and our country’s oral health. He’s pictured here with other leaders from the Chicago Dental Society who served in the delegation from Illinois.
