ble in performing full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Kelly graduated with a B. Degree in biology from IUPUI, where he was a member of the Men’s Division I Swimming Team. Dr. Kelly was awarded several academic and athletic honors, including recognition as a Top Ten Student Athlete. Dr. Kelly completed his residency in oral maxillofacial surgery at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During his residency, Dr. Kelly presented at the New York Academy of Medicine Resident Anesthesiology Research Meeting, Long Island Jewish Medical Center Clinical Pathology Conference, American College of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Resident Research Conference, and was Awarded First Place at the Greater Long Island Dental Meeting Resident Research Day. Dr. Robert Alderman completed his undergraduate training at Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned his D.M.D. degree from the University of Louisville. After relocating to Indiana, Dr. Alderman earned his certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Indiana University. Following his training, he served as a full-time Assistant Clinical Professor with the Indiana University Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He later left to concentrate full time on private practice. Dr. Alderman has successfully completed the rigorous, multi-year examination process required to become certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is proud to have achieved the status of Diplomate. Dr. Alderman and his wife Jennifer live in Carmel Indiana with their three young children, Casey, Connor & Riley. Oral and Maxillofacial surgery requires an additional 4-6 years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. Alderman and Dr. Kelly manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Alderman and Dr. Kelly practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery, and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. They can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures. Dental implants - Including bone grafting and ridge augmentation, are of particular focus for us. We also provide alternative restoration services, including dentures, bridges and the popular teeth-in-a-day treatment. Oral Surgery - With extensive training and certification in advanced orthognathic (oral) surgical techniques, we provide extensive facial and oral reconstruction services, including jaw deformity correction and facial trauma reconstructions. Oral pathology - Oral cancer screenings and treatments are another important focus of our practice. To help our patients and their families maintain good oral health, we advocate oral cancer self-examinations, and assist our patients in learning how to conduct them.
