At Children’s Dentistry of Knoxville, we are uniquely positioned to meet the ever-changing needs of kids in our area. As your child grows and changes, so do their dental needs. As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Darryl Phillips focuses on caring for children ages one to six. As more permanent teeth start to grow, it’s a great time to transition to Dr. Mark Britton, whose focus is on children and adolescents. We’re proud to offer this type of customized dental care for our patients and their families.

🦷TRUE OR FALSE? Baby teeth can get cavities! 🦷

The answer is TRUE! Even though baby teeth eventually fall out, they’re still important for your child’s smile, speech, and chewing. 🦒💚

🪥 Help protect those little smiles by brushing twice a day, limiting sugary snacks, and keeping up with regular dental checkups!

🐒🦷 Did you know monkeys floss, too?!

Some long-tailed macaques have been observed using human hair as dental floss to clean between their teeth! Talk about getting creative with your dental hygiene! 😂🪥

We may not recommend copying their flossing technique, but we do recommend making flossing part of your daily routine! 🪥🦷
