"I arrived feeling stressed and nervous, knowing that I have a lot of dental work/ surgery ahead of me. I felt uneasy and unsure. As soon as I was greeted and welcomed into the office all that anxiety started to subside. The front desk staff was very friendly and kind. At my consultation Dr Nut and his assistant were very friendly and polite. Dr. Nut took time to explain the process of getting extractions, bone grafting and implants. I was impressed to learn that he had already spoken to my referring Dentist before meeting me and had already began understanding and building a plan. He professionally explained details and answered all my questions. I did not once feel rushed, or pressured. I left feeling confident and very well informed.

Two days before my scheduled surgery I received a personal phone call from Dr. Nut. ( not his assistant or receptionist) he wanted to check on me and see how I was feeling about the surgery. He reviewed the process and he assured me that he once again had spoken to my Dentist and that the whole team was on board to making sure I was well cared for.

The day of the surgery I was nervous again but feeling confident that I was in good hands. The whole process went very smoothly. I knew every step of the process. Dr. Nut and his assistant’s were very patient, kind, and professional the whole way through. The procedure was finished within an hour and half as predicted and I was not once made to feel rushed or uncomfortable.
I left with proper instructions and understanding of aftercare.

I received a text from Dr. Nut a couple hours later. He was personally checking that I was doing alright and making sure that if I had questions he could answer them for me.

I have another surgery and other procedures and processes to go through before my journey with Dr. Nut and his Team is over. I am excited, and beyond pleased that I chose Johnson Oral Surgery. The experience so far has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Nut to anyone who is looking for exceptional dental care."

"I had full upper and lower implants. Dr. Johnson did the surgery, which was quite a feat in itself. After my surgery I was relieved ,I had hardly any pain considering what had just been done . My temporary teeth were in. From there Dr. Thomas and Dental tech. Amber ,saw to everything from this point on. I was amazed at the equipment and precise measurements of everything. I cannot say enough about Dr. Johnson, Dr. Thomas and Dental Tech Amber. This team were outstanding they took care of every need and made sure I was completely satisfied. We’re excited to welcome Dr. Randall Nutt to our practice! 🎉

A Knoxville native, Dr. Nutt is excited to be back and serving his community.

Dr. Nutt earned his DDS from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

He provides comprehensive oral surgery care with interests in dental implants and full-mouth reconstruction, wisdom teeth, IV sedation, corrective jaw surgery, bone grafting, facial trauma, and treatment of jaw pathology.

Outside the office, Dr. Nutt enjoys the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, and spending time with family and friends.

We’re thrilled that Dr. Nutt has joined our team and look forward to the exceptional care he’ll provide our patients and community.
