"I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Johnson and the entire team at Johnson Oral Surgery in Knoxville. I’m someone who is genuinely terrified of doctors and dentists, and my anxiety in these situations can be pretty intense. From my first consultation through the end of surgery, this team made me feel comfortable, welcome, and cared for.
Dr. Johnson took the time to answer every question I had without ever making me feel like a bother. He even answered questions by text after hours, both before and after surgery. He also called to check on me the same day after my procedure. That level of communication meant a lot, especially for someone as nervous as I was. I felt like I had support throughout the entire process.
He also moved my surgery up and found a way to fit me into his schedule because of my comfort level. I really appreciated that consideration. His actions showed me that he pays attention to his patients and truly looks out for them.
On surgery day, I arrived at 7 a.m., was under anesthesia by about 7:20, and was back home resting on my sofa watching TV by 11 a.m. For something I had been so anxious about, the whole experience went incredibly smoothly.
All the ladies in the office deserve recognition, too. The front-office staff were welcoming and inviting from the moment I walked in, and Dr. Johnson’s surgical team was even more impressive. When you’re nervous about a procedure, the people around you make a huge difference, and this team made a difference for me.
The facility itself is beautiful. Everything looks new and top of the line. The waiting room is exceptionally clean and comfortable, with TVs and a nice coffee bar for those waiting. The clinical areas were every bit as clean and well maintained as the front. Even the payment process was smooth and straightforward, with no issues whatsoever.
If you need special dental work or oral surgery, I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson and his team. I went into this experience scared, and they helped me feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. An easy five stars from me."
