One of my good friends passed away last month.

He died doing what he loved, which was hunting waterfowl. Next month, I’m donating several pillar candles and molds that scream “Birddog” (his nickname) at the Delta Waterfowl Foundation - Hazel Creek Chapter Annual Banquet.

Before Christmas, two ladies came into the shop and one mentioned how she had a discontinued Yankee Candle that she was savoring, because it reminded her of a passed loved one. It was described as a cherry, pipe-tobacco-esque fragrance.

I didn’t jot down her information, but want to get a hold of her and tell her to swing by the shop when she can; I’ve got a little surprise for her 🩷

📦🚘As some of you may know (especially when coming into the shop and witnessing the package sorting chaos), Create the Vibe Candle Co. is one of many Amazon.com DELIVERY HUBS here in Kirksville.

🏆Amazon sent out an email in October about their Together We Give winter program, where we nominate a local elementary school to receive donations of winter clothes. I, along with Amie Shahan of Shahan Electric, a fellow HUB owner, nominted Ray Miller Elementary, and to our surprise we were each chosen to receive a gracious donation of 60 winter jackets, hats and pairs of socks!

🩷We had the pleasure of dropping off our donations to Ray Miller earlier this week, and we’re so grateful to be able to help kids in our community, thanks to Amazon!
